About this product
Classic Cladding Board is our most affordable composite cladding option, providing a durable, low-maintenance alternative to traditional timber cladding. This 139mm x 20mm board is designed for easy installation using our hidden clip system and is suitable for both exterior and interior feature wall applications. Available in four popular colours.
Why choose Classic composite cladding?
- Fire-Rated Cladding. Our Classic cladding has been fully fire tested and is rated as Class C, making it suitable for use in low-rise residential and commercial developments.
- Long-Life Solution. Made from a composite that combines the strength of wood with the elasticity of plastic, painting, stripping and varnishing are yesterday’s problem. Supplied with a 25-year residential and 10-year commercial manufacturer’s warranty.
- Low Maintenance. A melded fusion of wood and plastic polymers, the Classic range resists moisture, making it more difficult for dirt and algae to adhere – so cleaning and scrubbing are a thing of the past.

Installation & Care
Before you start: allow boards to acclimatise on site and plan your layout (horizontal or vertical). Slatted panels include integral backing, so no separate backer board is required.
Fitting: fix to a suitable battened subframe using the matching NeoTimber clips and screws, leaving the recommended expansion gaps. Use the edging options to finish neatly around windows and doors.
Routine care: wash down periodically with warm soapy water and a soft-bristled brush to keep the surface looking its best – no staining, painting or treating required.

Installation Guide
Composite cladding installs onto a battened wall — a competent DIYer can clad a small wall in a day. Always work upwards from the bottom.
Prepare the wall
Ensure the substrate is sound, dry and flat. Fix pressure-treated 25mm timber battens vertically at 600mm centres, plumb and level. On masonry, use rawl plugs and stainless screws.
Fit the starter trim
Install a horizontal starter trim at the lowest course, perfectly level. Leave a 10–15mm gap from the ground for drainage and ventilation.
Install the first board
Slot the first board into the starter trim. Secure the top edge through the hidden fixing groove with stainless steel screws into each batten.
Continue boards upward
Each successive board interlocks with the one below. Fix through the hidden groove at every batten — no face fixings visible. Stagger end joints by at least 600mm across courses.
Cut around openings
Use a fine-tooth circular saw or jigsaw. Mark boards in place, cut on the back face to avoid chipping the show face. Seal cut ends if exposed.
Finish with corner trims
Fit matching corner trims, end caps and a top trim to weatherproof the assembly. Leave a 5mm expansion gap behind every trim.
